Subscription Plans
SwipePoint offers two subscription options: in-app subscription and website subscription.
Subscription Methods
- In-App Subscription: Subscribe to SwipePoint Premium via the app store on your mobile device. You can subscribe through the App Store for iOS or Google Play for Android, with payments processed by the respective platform. This method is convenient and quick, but may not issue a triplicate invoice (because the transaction is handled by Apple/Google, not directly by SwipePoint).
- Website Subscription: Subscribe directly on the SwipePoint official website. Log in to your account on the website and select your subscription plan, with payment processed through a third-party payment service. Website subscriptions can issue a triplicate invoice, making it suitable for business users who need invoices for reimbursement. After payment is completed, SwipePoint will provide an electronic invoice for accounting purposes.
Subscription Rules
- Single Subscription Principle: A single account cannot have both an in-app subscription and a website subscription at the same time (they cannot be duplicated or co-exist). This means you can only subscribe to the Premium service through one method at a time to avoid duplicate charges or conflicting privileges.
- Switching Subscription Channels: If you wish to switch from an in-app subscription to a website subscription, you must first cancel your current subscription through the App Store/Google Play. Please deactivate auto-renewal on your mobile platform before making the switch. Only after canceling your existing in-app subscription can you start a new website subscription.
- Subscription Continuity: If you cancel your in-app subscription but it hasn't expired yet, you can purchase the website subscription early. To avoid a gap in service, the website subscription will start from the in-app subscription’s expiration date. In other words, when your in-app subscription expires, the website subscription will immediately take effect, ensuring no service interruption.
Website Subscription Special Rules
- Website Subscription Cannot Be Canceled: Once the website subscription is activated, you cannot cancel it during the subscription period. In other words, the website subscription is valid until the end of the period, regardless of whether you are still using the service.
- No Auto-Renewal: Website subscriptions do not have an auto-renewal function. When the subscription is nearing its expiration date, SwipePoint will notify you in the app to remind you if you wish to continue the subscription. At that time, you can decide whether to subscribe again.
Important Reminder: Use the Same Account for Website Subscription
Very important! When you choose to subscribe on the website, please make sure to log in with the same account you use in the SwipePoint app. For example:
- If you log in to the SwipePoint app using your Apple account, you must use the same Apple account to subscribe on the website for the correct subscription process.
- If you use another login method (such as Google account) in the app, you must log in with the same account on the website.
If you log in with a different account, the subscription may not be completed successfully, and there may be inconsistencies with your account, preventing synchronization of subscription status or access to Premium services.
Ads and Premium Plan
- Ad Display: Free users of SwipePoint will see ads while using the app. Once you upgrade to a Premium subscription, in-app ads will be removed, providing a cleaner experience. In other words, whether you see ads depends directly on whether you subscribe: with a subscription, no ads; without a subscription, ads will appear.
- Premium Features: Subscribing to SwipePoint Premium not only removes ads but also unlocks several advanced features (such as file uploads). Premium members have access to the full attendance management features, while free users may be restricted in some areas. Therefore, upgrading to the Premium plan provides more comprehensive services.
- Premium Screen Information: The Premium screen in the SwipePoint app will display different information and options based on the user's subscription status:
- Not Subscribed: The screen will show an introduction to the Premium plan, including benefits like no ads and unlocked advanced features, and provide a "Upgrade to Premium" button for users to subscribe.
- Subscribed (In-App Subscription): The screen will show information indicating that you have subscribed to Premium through the App Store/Google Play, including the current subscription status and expiration date. Since the subscription is managed through the app store, no new subscription button will appear, and it may prompt you to manage or cancel your subscription through the App Store/Play store settings.
- Subscribed (Website Subscription): The screen will show that you are a Premium user through the SwipePoint website subscription, displaying relevant subscription details, such as the start date. As a Premium member, no option to subscribe again will appear.
- Subscription Transition State: If you have canceled your in-app subscription but it is still valid, and you have already purchased a website subscription, the Premium screen will display the expiration date of your current subscription, noting that the new website subscription will start after it expires. This ensures you clearly understand the transition and avoids missed renewals or duplicate payments.
