Software Update

To continuously optimize, maintain data consistency, and improve the user experience, SwipePoint will require all users to update the software before using the app. If you receive a software update notification but do not see the update option in the store, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Android Clear Cache

Clearing the Google Play cache can solve issues with updates not syncing. Here are the steps:

1. Open "Settings"

Find and click "Settings" on your phone.

2. Find "Apps" or "App Management"

Different phone brands may have different names for this, but it is where you manage apps on your phone.

3. Search or find "Google Play Store"

Find "Google Play Store" in the app list and click to open it.

4. Click "Storage" or "Storage & Cache"

This will show the storage usage for the app.

5. Click "Clear Cache"

Select "Clear Cache" to clear temporary data, which will not affect your personal data or app settings.

6. (Optional) Click "Clear Data"

If clearing the cache doesn't fix the issue, you may consider "Clear Data." Note: this will reset Google Play Store, and you may need to log in to your Google account again.

7. Reopen Google Play Store

After clearing the cache, reopen Google Play Store to check if the update option appears.

8. Restart the Phone (Optional)

If the above steps did not work, try restarting your phone and then open Google Play again.

This should resolve the issue of seeing an update but not being able to update in Google Play.

Apple (iOS) Clear Cache

On Apple phones (iPhone), although there's no direct way to clear cache for the App Store, you can refresh or resolve update issues by following these methods:

Method 1: Refresh the App Store

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Go to the "Updates" page.
  3. Pull to refresh: On the "Updates" page, pull down and release to reload the App Store and update the app's latest version info.

Method 2: Sign Out and Sign Back Into Apple ID

  1. Open "Settings."
  2. Click on your Apple ID (at the top).
  3. Select "Sign Out."
  4. Sign back in with your Apple ID.
  5. Go to the App Store to check for update information.

Method 3: Restart the Phone

  1. Press and hold the Power Button or Volume + Power Button (depending on your iPhone model).
  2. Slide to power off and then restart the phone.
  3. Open the App Store and check for updates.

Method 4: Update to the Latest iOS Version

  1. Open "Settings."
  2. Go to "General" > "Software Update."
  3. If a new iOS version is available, update to it, which might resolve syncing issues in the App Store.

Method 5: Check Network Connection

Ensure your iPhone is connected to a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data network. If the network is unstable, updates might not show in the App Store.

These methods should help you fix issues with App Store update information not syncing.

Android Installation Issues for SwipePoint

You can check your phone’s Android version by going to: Settings > About Phone > Software Info > Android Version. SwipePoint requires Android 8 or higher, so please update your phone version via the software update section in Settings.

  • Outdated Google Play Store Version:
You can check the Google Play Store version by going to: Play Store > Profile Icon > Settings > About > Play Store Version. Please try updating the Play Store using the Update Play Store button here.
